Eagles Take Off
We are pleased to host our incoming 6th grade Orientation (Better known as “Eagles Take Off”). This event is coordinated by our Leadership Class for our incoming 6th grade students. Parents will drop off their incoming 6th grader by noon in front of the gymnasium. The scheduled games and tours start at noon in the gym and are for students only. Parents will have an optional meet and greet with Principal Osborn and important parent volunteers from PTSA and EdFund to help you orient yourself to middle school. This year we will continuing the distribution of SRVUSD issued Chromebooks during Eagles Take Off. Please have your child bring an empty backpack so they can easily carry (and not mix up) their chromebook.
New to DVMS 7th & 8th graders will have a separate tour and introduction at 1PM at the flagpole by the admin office. Mr. Osborn will be available to greet parents at this event as well.

The Children and Youth Behavioral Initiative (CYBHI)
The Children and Youth Behavioral Initiative (CYBHI), included in the Budget Act of 2021, requires school districts to partner with health service providers to support social and emotional health services for students. As a result, districts can now receive reimbursement for physical and behavioral health services provided to students during the school day. These services are free for families—no copays or deductibles are required. Beginning this summer, families are asked to provide their child’s health insurance or Medi-Cal information during the Annual Update and new student enrollments. Learn more on our CYBHI webpage.
