Art Club

Join other DV students for an afternoon of creativity and fun! Advance signup is MANDATORY and space is limited.

Every Monday from 2:50 - 4:05 in Room 100 with Ms. Darrah.

Suggested Donation: $40 for a four week session. Checks (payable to DVMS) or cash can be given to Mrs. Darrah or dropped off in the front office.

Philosophy

The Diablo Vista after school visual arts program provides students an opportunity to participate in a variety of art processes under the guidance of Mrs. Darrah,

the art teacher. It is an inclusive environment for 6th, 7th and 8th graders to explore and create while building community. Emphasis is on participation and

self exploration within the mediums presented each session. Artists learn and develop self-esteem, commitment, creativity, and respect for oneself, as well

as for others.

Code of Conduct & Rules

If you use it, put it back. If you dirty it, clean it. Everybody pitches in to clean up.
Don't mess with other's projects!
Respect the ideas of others.
Hands/feet/objects kept to yourself.
Don't throw anything, ever.
Ask before using materials/supplies - do not assume.
If something breaks, let Mrs. Darrah know.

Overview

Sessions will usually be 4 weeks.
You must sign up for sessions in advance as space is limited. You must be logged into your student account to sign up. If space is full you will not be allowed to register but you can email sdarrah@srvusd.net to be on a waitlist.
Suggested donations are $40 per 4 week session.
Club will usually meet on Monday with a few Tuesdays to make up for Monday holidays.
Club meets from 2:50-4:05 PM.
